Self-published photozine by Stefano Conti
“This zine investigates my research within the social biography of objects. By that, how they are invested with meanings throughout history, depending on the social interactions they are caught up in.
Through a cross-disciplinary approach that intertwines photography, sculpture, and collage, “When I killed your tulips” explores the limits of photographic space and questions the perception of things taken for granted.
By continuously re-arranging objects in conversation with printed matter, and by altering some results through the medium of collage, I attempt to investigate what we perceive as a photograph, reflecting upon the fragmentation of the contemporary digital sphere.”
