Photobook by Florian Renz
Hamburg in spring 2020. Everything is so different. All over the world, we are shutting down, closing schools and shops. We keep our distance without enjoying cultural life, gastronomy, and proximity. Like most of the residents of Hamburg, I don’t have any social contacts. Instead of feeling like life in restaurants and bars, I take long walks on the weekends — with my camera.
I’ll take you on a photographic tour, starting at the Hamburg Landungsbrücken. Continue through HafenCity, via the city center into the Schanzenviertel. And finally, we end the day on the Reeperbahn.
We’ll go through a completely “different” Hamburg. And experience a city full of silence, emptiness, and hope. In a 68-page softcover with thread binding, printed in an offset process on 150 mg Profi Bulk 13.
“Lockdown Hamburg” is a charity project for the children’s home initiative KIDZ Shelter.
