Immersed in the intense pulse of life on the street, I find a visceral, timeless authenticity of being, an utter lack of self-consciousness in the people that I am drawn to, again and again.
In India, a street is a place of chaos, serenity, suffering, love, devotion, and magic — all equally potent, all coexisting, all of the time.
It cannot be selectively parsed for only convenient or pleasant experiences — and if you should try, you will only cheat yourself.
India demands much of her visitors — but for those who can embrace her on her own terms, the rewards are sublime.
