Wilfrid Estève
Self-taught Wilfrid Estève began his career in 1995. His photographic fieldwork, mostly one of testimony and investigation, brings him to highlytopical places and tension zones in West Africa, Europe, and the MiddleEast. Concurrently to these reports, part of his work focuses on socialissues such as family and the way it’s changing, as well as immigration inFrance, carried out in association with various institutions and editorialboards such as Libération, Le Monde, Géo, and Marie-Claire.Now, Wilfrid Estève lives in Paris, Tangier, and Carcassone. He’s aphotographer, a teacher and a producer. He runs the Hans Lucas studio andpresides over the non-profit association Freelens and the publishing houseLouvre Rivoli. He’s also vice-chairman of the international fair Photo Doc.and has charge of educational leadership of the degree « Documentaire etécritures numériques » at the Université de Perpignan. In 2015, he wasawarded the title of Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres.
