“Make visible what might never have been perceived without you.”
It is precisely this fleeting moment that fascinates me. Frozen for eternity.
And because it is no longer enough for me to save the images on a hard drive, I want to capture this eternal moment on paper. This gives my pictures the opportunity to be made accessible to an audience!
Born in 1969 and raised in Berlin, I got my first camera for my 25th birthday. A Canon EOS 500N. At first, I used it to take a lot of pictures, mostly black and white. Then it buried a little until I got my hands on it again in 2011. Since then it has grown into more than a hobby. So in 2016, I decided to start studying photography at the Vienna School of Photography in addition to my actual job as an online marketing expert.
I just run and explore my surroundings. A camera is always with me when I leave the house. Because the best fleeting moment is worthless if I can’t hold onto it. Street and architecture photography is my great passion.
I like to adapt the analog, completely manual, and at least 30-year-old lenses of my analog Canon F1 to my mirrorless SONY ALPHA 7rII. I like the colors and mood these give to my pictures. This does not affect the quality. To complete the package I still have a Pentacon SixTL. An analog medium format camera. The Hasselblad of the no longer existing GDR. This camera is also around 35 years old. But the Carl Zeiss Jena lenses of that time are excellent.
