Theopisti Stylianou-Lambert
I’m a visual artist, researcher and writer living in Nicosia, Cyprus.
For me, artistic creation and academic research are two different but interconnected, supplementary modes of questioning and understanding the world around us. I’m fascinated by the nature of photography (especially everyday photography), the functions of museums and the interrelations between photography and museums.
I’m currently an associate professor at the Cyprus University of Technology and the director of the Visual Sociology and Museum Studies Lab. For my research work check out the website of the Visual Sociology and Museum Studies lab: www.vsmslab.com
