More Exposure & Sales For The Art You Create

You read this post because you love photo books and likely have published one (or many) yourself.

We love books too! A lot. That's why we created The Phooks to let photo books & zines shine brightly. We treat every title as a treasure, which must be seen by as wide as possible audience and sold to those who really care and love it.

It means we commit to helping self- and indie-publishers reach the right audience For Free and sell their books at a Minimum Fee.
No Submission and Store listing fee, for the lifetime. We charge only the sales commission (see below). Paid placement options will follow.

Book Submission

Just Click here for the submission form and provide the required information.  If you have a few books submit the first book, then repeat for another one.

The Main Rule: You Do Really Have the books you submit.

No print on demand books (Blurb, Amazon books, etc.) are accepted. Pre-order is possible, but when the edition is on a printing phase and this fact is proven.

Selling books

Our goal is to keep sales commissions at a minimum. That's why we avoid any expenses for complicated logistics, stocks keeping, order fulfillment services, etc.

To make this possible, Publishers and Artists ship orders directly to Customers, which means that:
  1. We do everything for you to receive an order and money.
  2. YOU make sure your book comes to a collector.

As soon as we add your book to the store you will be granted with "Seller's Account" access where you can edit products, control stock, receive orders and be paid for your sales.

Order Payments & Payouts

We receive the payment from the customer and make a payout to your PayPal account as soon as the order is fulfilled.

The customer's payment will consist of a Product cost & Shipping cost.

The payment transaction fee of 0.5% will be applied to the total amount, but our commission is applied only to the Product cost and doesn't touch the Shipping cost.

!!! New commissions come into force on December 20, 2019

There are two rates for the moment:

  1. For products priced $15 and above
10% from the order total amount w/o shipping cost + $5 fixed commission.

  2. For products priced $14.99 and below
5% from the order total amount w/o shipping cost + $1 fixed commission.

Shipping Your Orders

All the orders are shipped directly from Seller to Collector. Shipping cost calculation is based on your location (shipping origin), the shipping provider rates, destination zones and the weight of a parcel. We will set up everything for you.

Shipping methods & providers

For now, we use the cheapest trackable shipment methods. It will likely be International Registered Post Shipment (trackable parcels) provided by the national Post services in the country you live in.

Keep in mind:

  • Always specify the weight of your book packed for shipping.
  • Strictly use the shipping provider and method specified in your Seller Account when sending your order.

So, that's it for now. We keep working on everything and appreciate your interest, support, and trust!

Go to the submission form.

And sign up for the project updates if you haven't done it yet:
